Lodi Day 1

Today was the first day of the Midwest Palma Championships and what a fun day it was. The sun was shining, and the wind was being sneaky. This range is well known for being a tough range to shoot on because of the switching conditions. That is also, what makes this range such a great training range; because it really teaches you to watch conditions very closely to observe condition switches.

Today we shot a Palma® Match (800, 900, & 1,000 Yards) and a 1,200 yard match. Although I did not participate in the 1,200-yard match today, I did participate in the Palma® portion. At the 800 I fired a score of 147-6x, my 900 score was 144-3x, and at the 1,000 I shot a 143-6x. Tomorrow will be a Palma® match in the morning with a 900-yard 2-man team match in the afternoon and I will be participating in both of those.
